But it is<\/em> a promise \u2013 of deeper integration, stronger institutions, better protections of human rights, more funds for youth exchanges and education, and clearer paths to personal and professional development. It is a chance for the next generation to belong to a shared European future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Why Should the EU Care?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Youth across Europe are facing common challenges: digital transformation, climate anxiety, rising populism, and misinformation. We\u2019re not alone in this. But without the Western Balkans in the EU, one part of the continent is left out of the conversation. That\u2019s not just unfair \u2013 it\u2019s unstrategic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n By integrating the Western Balkans, the EU invests in peace, stability, and prosperity in its own neighborhood. It strengthens democracy where it\u2019s still fragile. It builds trust among young people who want to cooperate, create and connect \u2013 not compete, divide and emigrate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What Do Young People Want?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We want real opportunities, not empty promises. We want quality education and dignified jobs \u2013 at home<\/em>. We want to travel freely, exchange ideas with our peers, and participate in shaping the policies that affect our futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We want the same rights and responsibilities as other European youth. We want to be part of the solution \u2013 not stuck in a waiting room of history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A Two-Way Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n EU membership is not a gift. It\u2019s a partnership. Yes, our countries need to continue reforms, tackle corruption, and strengthen rule of law. But the EU also needs to keep its promises and invest in youth-led change. Young people are already building bridges \u2013 through activism, cultural exchanges, digital cooperation, and civic engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Projects like TYM<\/strong> and initiatives focused on media literacy and youth participation prove that our generation is ready \u2013 ready to listen, learn, and lead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Future Is Shared<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether we\u2019re from Belgrade or Berlin, Skopje or Stockholm, Tirana or Tallinn \u2014 we\u2019re facing the same century together. And the challenges ahead demand cooperation, solidarity, and vision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The inclusion of the Western Balkans in the European Union is not just a political decision. It is a statement of hope.
