It provides excellent learning and cooperation opportunities, and contributes to the modernisation of our education systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-twentytwentyone-border\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/tymagazine.net\/content\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/101.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-878\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tymagazine.net\/content\/resources\/uploads\/2021\/04\/101.jpg 800w, https:\/\/tymagazine.net\/content\/resources\/uploads\/2021\/04\/101-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tymagazine.net\/content\/resources\/uploads\/2021\/04\/101-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"justed\">It\u2019s no wonder that Erasmus is often called the EU\u2019s biggest achievement. However, this achievement has touched only a very limited section of the EU\u2019s population. Only 4 million people (around 0.8% of EU citizens) are expected to benefit from Erasmus+ in the 2014-2020 period. Indeed, the funding for the programme amounts to only 1,4% of the overall EU budget for this period.
