Serbian Youth Projects Receive over 1m €

Serbian civil society institutions were highly successful in the Erasmus + programme, attracting the sum of 1 058 740 euros for the realization of 26 approved projects.

Within the First call for the Western Balkans – Erasmus+: Youth in Action the total of 149 projects were submitted for evaluation. The European Commission from the Brussels selected for funding 43 projects in the Balkans, out of which 26 or as much as 60% from Serbia, which is a testament to its high quality.

The approved sum of over 1 million euros will go to implementation of 26 youth initiatives from Serbia in the field of youth employment, youth work, entrepreneurship, social inclusion, youth empowerment and intercultural learning. As part of these projects, youth from the whole of Europe will have the opportunity to visit Serbia, learn and gain skills through trainings, camps and other activities organized by experts from Serbia. Also, young people from Serbia will be able to travel for free and improve their skills in the EU countries.

Erasmus + office in Serbia and the organization „Hajde da…“, as the Contact point for youth projects, organizes every year several trainings, info days, seminar and promotions throughout Serbia. This enables hundreds of organisations and institutions from Serbia to get an information about the Programme, and thousands of young people are informed about the Erasmus + Youth in Action programe and what it offers to the youth in Serbia.
