On 29-30 April the European Youth Week celebrations will bring together young people and youth stakeholders in a European event held in Brussels at the European Parliament.
Day 1 will feature:
- Launch event on the European Parliament esplanade
- Workshops and discussions organised by various thematic Directorates-General of the European Commission and a number of partners on multilingualism, the EU space programme, integration, democracy and more
- First Youth Stakeholders platform under the new EU Youth Strategy
- Guided tours in the House of European History
- Guided bicycle tours in Brussels
- Award ceremony of the Spinelli Prize
- Live-screening from the Spitzenkandidaten (candidates for European Commission President) debate in Maastricht
Day 2 will feature:
- “This time I’m voting” debate by the European Parliament
Flagship event “Democracy and me” with European Commissioner for Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Tibor Navracsics - Break-out sessions on elections, environment, youth participation, inclusion, free movement, future Erasmus programme, social innovation and more
- Flagship event on the European Solidarity Corps
Break-out sessions on volunteering opportunities, new world of work, Erasmus+ virtual exchanges, Erasmus for young Entrepreneurs and more
Yo!Fest organised by the European Youth Forum will take place on Tuesday with activities on the European Parliament’s esplanade and culminating with a concert in the evening.
