Social News Serbia Magazine Launched

Marko Prikić, Serbia

Serbian humanitarian association Auxilia Srbija recently launched an on-line magazine called Social News Srbija. The magazine analyses important social phenomena that influence the current and future situation of the Serbian society, in particular of the Serbian youth. Each issue is dedicated to one of the current problems, addressed by prominent journalists, scholars, parents, members of institutions and socially responsible companies in Serbia, as well as individuals expressing their personal experiences.

The journal founders express their firm belief in the creative and transformative potential of young people in Serbia. Therefore, each issue is designed and created by them – by students from various fields. Several issues so far dealt mostly with the heated and troubling topic of returning to Serbia and brain drain, and published interviews with the Serbian Minster of Science and Education Srđan Verbić, group Repats Serbia that promotes young people’s return to Serbia from abroad, and several other topics as well.

The mission of the Auxilia Serbia is to create a better future in Serbia for talented and creative young people, who believe in the possibility of and actively promote increasing the quality of live in Serbia.
