Within MEDIActive Youth project on news and media literacy, the News Literacy, Critical Thinking and Media Activism Training Course was successfully held in Belgrade from 26th May to 4th June 2024. The training of trainers (ToT), hosted by Centar za društveno ekonomski razvoj (CDER), had 24 youth worker participants, 4 from each partner NGOs. It was led by experienced CDER trainers.

According to recent statistics from the World Bank, Honduras has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in Latin America, with over 40% of young people between the ages of 15 and 24 unable to secure stable employment. This staggering figure not only reflects the economic challenges facing the country but also highlights the systemic barriers preventing young Hondurans from entering the workforce.
Youth, opting out of education and delaying entry into the workforce, face a growing problem. In the European Union, the proportion of unemployed young people aged 15 to 29 was 11.7%, and in Estonia – 10.6%, which is still too high. In the Netherlands, with their highly organized education system, this figure is only 4.2%.

Yet, the path to active civic engagement for many young Egyptians is strewn with barriers that hinder their participation in the democratic processes that underpin society.
On the 11th of November, the Center for Intercultural Dialogue (CID) proudly organized the 6th edition of the ‘Born 2 Run Race’ in Kumanovo. This highly anticipated event, featuring both a 3km and a 10km race, marked a celebration of unity, resilience, and community engagement.
